Browse the shelves, find a corner, order a coffee, take a book up to your room, or discover your next read before you even arrive.

Every book on the shelves is there to be read.
We only ask that you take one book from the shelf at a time. When you are done, please return it to the exact place you found it before choosing another.
With a few thousand books on the shelves, it is the simplest way to keep the library browsable for everyone.

Staying at Nidra Niwas?
The library is yours during your stay.
You are welcome to take a book up to your room, balcony or anywhere around the house. Please let a member of the team know before taking it away from the library so we can keep track of where it is.
Please return borrowed books before checking out.

Join the Café Awake Library Membership to borrow books beyond the café.

Members may borrow one book at a time.

A FEW SIMPLE RULES
A few simple rules
- One book at a time. Please remove only one book from the shelves at a time, even when reading inside the café.
- Put it back where you found it. Return the book to its exact place before choosing another.
- Taking a book outside the café? Please have it checked out with our team first.
- Library members may borrow one book at a time for ₹500/month or ₹5,000/year, with a refundable ₹1,500 security deposit.
- Hotel guests may take books to their rooms during their stay, but please let the team know first and return them before check-out.
- Treat the books kindly. Some are new, some are old, and many have been part of this collection for years.
