THE HOUSE
A house that changes with the light.
Nidra Niwas is wrapped in a handcrafted terracotta jaali that filters the Jaipur sun into shifting patterns through the day. Behind it sit the private balconies, shaded from the street but still open to the city. Inside, the house unfolds around a central courtyard, with books, artwork and places to pause appearing from floor to floor.
THE JAALI
Light, shade, repeat.
The terracotta screen runs along the building, casting changing patterns across the balconies as the sun moves overhead. Every guest room opens onto its own private balcony behind it, a little removed from the street, without being shut away from Jaipur.
THE LIBRARY
Three thousand books. No membership required.
The library runs through the heart of Nidra Niwas, with more than 3,000 books collected across fiction, history, travel, art and everything in between. Find something you like, take it upstairs, read it over coffee or disappear into a corner for the afternoon. Just bring it back before you leave.
WORK & PLAY
For getting things done. Or absolutely nothing.
Settle into a quiet desk with strong Wi-Fi when there's work to do. When there isn't, there are board games, consoles, books and plenty of corners made for lingering. Some days call for a laptop. Others don't.
DOWNSTAIRS
Coffee lives downstairs.
Awake is our all-day café for coffee, breakfast, comfort food and the hours in between. It's part café, part library, part neighbourhood living room, and just downstairs when you're staying with us.
THE COURTYARD
Look up.
At the centre of the house, the courtyard rises towards the skylight, carrying daylight down through the floors. Look around and you'll find balconies, books, artwork and little glimpses of the house above and below.
ROOFTOP
Jaipur, a few floors up.
Head upstairs and the house opens back onto the city. The rooftop is a place for morning coffee, evening light and watching Jaipur carry on below.
STAY AWHILE
Make yourself at home.
Sleep upstairs. Find breakfast at Awake. Borrow a book. Get some work done. Lose at a board game. Watch the light move across the jaali.
The rest is up to you.
Parking: Free on-site parking. Spaces are limited. Let us know in advance if you're driving in and we'll guide you to a spot.
Laundry: Laundry and ironing facilities available for paid service. Ask the front desk for timings and charges.
Connectivity: Metro, autos, and buses connect the property to most of Jaipur. App cabs work well, and we can recommend trusted local drivers for day trips.

House rules: Just a few simple things to keep the house feeling calm for everyone: quiet hours at night, mindful use of shared spaces and no parties in the rooms. If you’re unsure about anything, ask us, we’re pretty easygoing.
